Tools for the hardest moments—shared by those who’ve lived them.

Vilomah, a Sanskrit word meaning "against natural order," refers to the profound loss experienced by a parent who has lost a child or by anyone who has endured an untimely, tragic, or stigmatized death that defies life’s natural sequence. The ongoing mental health crisis has led to a devastating rise in such losses, creating a growing community of individuals who feel a deep, primal sense of injustice and are driven to act. At Vilomah, we see this as an opportunity to unite and channel our enduring love to transform society into one that is more connected, compassionate, and just.

About us

We are a community of individuals impacted by mental health, problematic substance use, and loss. Through peer support, education, and advocacy, we foster healing and empowerment, challenge stigma, advance evidence-based, equity-centered treatment and sensible drug policy reform. We honor the lives of those lost by supporting bereaved families, uplifting children affected by loss, and creating memorial gardens as sacred spaces for remembrance and reflection.

"We were never meant to be shaped by systems that demand obedience over curiosity, performance over presence. From the beginning, we should have been taught to trust ourselves, to listen inward before listening out. That kind of self-trust was denied to so many of us, and reclaiming is liberation. This is the education our grief calls us to remember. This is how we break cycles and begin again with truth, with love, and with the wisdom that was always within us."
